There are moments in recovery when you know what you need to do but do not want to face it alone. A treatment transition, important appointment, family gathering, social event, or return to everyday responsibilities can bring stress, uncertainty, or pressure.

Sober Companion & Recovery Accompaniment means I can be there with you in person during those real-life moments. The goal is to help you stay connected to your recovery, make thoughtful choices, and build more confidence handling everyday life as you move forward.

In-person Sober Companion & Recovery Accompaniment is available throughout New York City. Planning and check-in support is also available by phone and online nationwide.

Building Confidence in Everyday Recovery

Recovery accompaniment provides in-person support while you navigate situations that may feel difficult, unfamiliar, or overwhelming. The goal is to help you strengthen confidence, practice recovery skills in everyday life, and become more prepared to handle these situations independently over time.

Recovery Support for Real-Life Situations

Treatment & Recovery Transitions

Receive support when entering or leaving detoxification, rehabilitation, residential treatment, outpatient care, sober living, or another stage of recovery.

Appointments & Important Responsibilities

I can accompany you in person to appointments, meetings, applications, or other important responsibilities where having steady recovery support beside you may make the experience easier to navigate.

Social & Family Situations

I can be there with you in person at gatherings, celebrations, family events, recovery or community activities, and other environments where additional support may help you stay connected to your recovery.

High-Stress Moments

Have someone beside you to talk through triggers, difficult emotions, decisions, or situations that may place your recovery at risk.

Building a Sober Life and Support Network

Early recovery can feel very different when the people, places, and routines that once filled your time are no longer a good fit. You may know that you want something different but not yet know what you enjoy, where you belong, or how to begin building new connections.
That is where recovery accompaniment can be especially helpful. Sometimes support means simply spending time together in healthy, recovery-supportive ways. We can explore activities and interests, attend recovery or community events, try new routines, and identify places where you may begin forming positive connections and a stronger sober support network.
As those new connections and routines begin to grow, I can provide steady encouragement and support while helping you gradually build relationships, interests, and community that can continue supporting you long after our work together.

Grounded in Lived Experience

My approach is also shaped by lived experience of addiction and recovery. I understand that some of the most important parts of recovery happen outside of treatment—in everyday life, while navigating relationships, responsibilities, stress, and the choices that shape the life you are rebuilding. That perspective helps me meet you with understanding, honesty, and practical support as you work toward greater stability and confidence in recovery.

Support That Fits What You Need

The support I provide is tailored to what you need in each situation. Because every recovery journey and every real-life event is unique, we work together to determine the level of presence and preparation that will best support your recovery goals.

Whether you need in-person accompaniment for a direct transition, steady support at a social gathering, or collaborative planning before a challenging appointment, my focus remains on your recovery goals, accountability, practical support, and the continued building of your confidence.

Sober Companion & Recovery Accompaniment at Restore Recovery Services is non-clinical support that can work alongside treatment, therapy, medical care and other recovery supports. Transportation is not provided.

A free 15-minute consultation gives us a chance to talk about the situation you are preparing for, the kind of support you are looking for, and whether Sober Companion & Recovery Accompaniment is the right fit.
