Family Support for Addiction & Recovery
Real support for families, grounded in lived experience of addiction, recovery, and rebuilding a life.
When someone you love is struggling with addiction or trying to build a life in recovery, it can be hard to know when to step in, what to say, or how to help without losing yourself in the process. Family Support gives you a place to slow things down, talk through what is happening, and get clear on what you can do next.
My support is grounded in lived experience of addiction and recovery. I understand the fear, resistance, hope, setbacks, and hard decisions families can face. Together, we can look at your situation honestly and work toward responses that are supportive, practical, and healthier for everyone involved.
Family support for addiction and recovery available in New York City and online nationwide.

Supporting Your Loved One and Yourself With Clarity and Confidence
Family support is not about trying to control another person’s recovery. It is about helping you respond more clearly to what is happening in front of you. We can talk through real situations as they come up—an argument, a treatment decision, a return to use, a boundary you are unsure how to hold, or a moment when you simply do not know what to do.

Together, we can slow the situation down, look at your options, and decide what response makes the most sense for you and your family. The goal is for you to leave with a clearer plan, more confidence in your decisions, and practical steps you can actually use.

Addiction and recovery affect the whole family. This support gives you a place to talk openly about what you are carrying, think through difficult decisions, and find healthier ways to respond while also taking care of yourself.
Connecting With Your Loved One
When appropriate, I may also be able to speak directly with your loved one. Because I have personally experienced addiction and built a life in recovery, I can connect with someone in a way that feels different from advice coming from family.

I can listen without judgment, share parts of my own experience when they may be helpful, talk honestly about fears or concerns about treatment, and help them think through what a next step could look like. The goal is not to pressure or force a decision, but to create an honest conversation that may help them become more open to treatment, recovery support, or another positive step.
Support at Every Stage
Family Support can begin at any point—while your loved one is actively using substances, considering treatment, preparing to enter a program, returning home after treatment, rebuilding after a reoccurrence, or working to maintain recovery.
You do not have to wait for a crisis or one particular moment to ask for support. We can look at what is happening in your family right now, what decisions are in front of you, and what kind of support or next step may be most helpful.
A free 15-minute consultation gives us a chance to talk about what your family is facing and whether Family Support feels like the right fit for you.
